After the end of the war, a number of Norwegians and Danes chose to stay in Buckie and, over the succeeding years, they became naturalised in the United Kingdom. Many of these happened in the first few years after the end of the war but some waited until the 1960s before going through the process of naturalisation.
Some of these people stayed in Buckie others moved elsewhere. A number who had been in Buckie during the war but later moved elsewhere, such as Karlo Laugesen Thiim who went to Hull, naturalised later too. |
